Dear Parishioners,
We have set up a basket on the table across from the church elevator in order to collect Box Tops for Education "coupons". We will be giving these "coupons" to St. Francis School and St. Bridget School, two area Catholic elementary schools that some of St. Michael's young parishioners attend. For each Box Tops "coupon" sent to the Box Tops company, the school will earn 10 cents, money that can be used for educational materials, playground equipment, etc. These dimes add up fast! There are many products that you use every day that have these "coupons" on them, such as Kleenex tissues (located on the bottom of the box), General Mills cereals, Hefty trash bags, Ziplock storage bags & containers...there are 300 participating products, so the odds are good that you have these packages in your homes right now. Remember to check your product packages for the Box Tops coupons before you throw them away! Our Catholic schools would be very grateful for your assistance. And please ask family members, neighbors and friends to save their Box Tops for you to turn in. Far-away friends and family members can even mail them to you periodically if they would like to help out, too.
Please visit http://www.boxtops4education.com if you would like a complete list participating companies. If you have any questions, you may contact Jenny Perry at 203-720-0208, or email her at curiousgoods13@comcast.net . God will bless you for your efforts in helping our Christ-centered institutions. As St. Theresa said "Our Lord needs from us neither great deeds nor profound thoughts. Neither intelligence nor talents. He cherishes simplicity." Thank you for making a difference and participating in this important fundraiser for our Catholic schools.

A Family Perspective:
The gospel today is clear: Peace comes to a “household if a peaceful person lives there.” Peace starts with your ability to forgive, to correct without attacking, to accept the ways of others and to recognize a different opinion is not a personal rejection. It is actually your own peace which you give to your family.

St. Michael’s Business style cards have been made of the Stain Glass Window that is over the altar with the Holy, Holy, Holy prayer on the back side. This is a reminder to realize that Jesus is our Lord and King. We would like everyone in our parish and visitor to have one.
The cards have been provided by St. Michael’s Social Ministry
